Meet the designer...

My name is George Idle, I am a freelance graphic designer, from North Yorkshire in the UK. I specialise in designing logos, websites and bespoke visual identities for brands. I’ve had a love for all things design from a young age and have found a way to turn that passion into a full time job as a brand designer.

I was always interested in the creative subjects at school and I had actually wanted to get into architecture.

After covid happened, I had a lot of time to reflect and I realised architecture wasn’t quite what I wanted to do anymore, not quite sure what steered me away from it, I think probably there was too much maths involved. I still wanted to do something in the design world and graphic design seem more suited to me, I loved the freedom you had over it and the process you go through to achieve a great design and the payoff of seeing those designs come to life. So I went off to uni to study.

However, I quickly found out I didn’t really want to be in full time education for three more years. I wanted to start my business asap. Uni didn’t feel worth it to me and I thought I could save money by teaching myself and start my dream of working as a brand designer at the same time. So I left and decided to get a temporary part time job, start teaching myself design and build my business on the side.

Flash forward a few years, and here I am working as a full time brand and web designer, always learning new things, working with some amazing people and helping them build their dream brand.
